Paul Norman is the Founding Principal of Twelve12 & Global Talent Advisors, a strategic talent management consulting group built on integrity, innovation, and results.

Paul is an innovative Human Resources Executive with 23+ years experience in strategic talent management supporting large field-based and corporate employee populations, including 20+ years in leadership roles. Strategic talent acquisition leadership of high-volume (up to 7,000 hires/quarter) and niche/leadership/technical hiring in Healthcare, Hospitality, Technology, Financial Services, and Biotechnology industries with fully remote and in-house teams up to 337 professionals and operating budgets up to $43M+. Regular interaction with C-suite and Board members in public and private equity backed corporations. Proven success in organizational and cultural change, process reengineering, and project management. Ability to establish and develop strong business and collaborative relationships. Paul was most recently the Vice President of Talent Acquisition at Sevita, Inc. where he was accountable for all recruiting activity across 42 states delivering over 30,000 hires annually. He has been the Vice President of Talent Acquisition at Travel & Leisure (formerly Wyndham Destinations), Director of Recruiting at Rackspace, Vice President of Retail Bank Recruiting at Washington Mutual Bank, and a headhunter in the Biotech industry. 


Notable accomplishments include:

Sevita -- Transformed Talent Acquisition function to achieve a 12.7% average quarterly hiring growth over 10 consecutive quarters, increasing from 2,500 hires per quarter to 7,000 hires per quarter. 46% YOY annual hiring growth in year 1; 48% in year 2.

Wyndham Destinations -- Established Global Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence to align: global TA strategy, core TA processes, employment branding, associate referral programs, TA digital marketing, pre-employment screening/background check program, compliance, immigration, relocation and mobility, TA technology, TA vendor relationships and integration of Recruiting teams from three former business lines.

WaMu -- Applied supply chain methodology to build an internal RPO organization utilizing call center employees to improve high-volume recruiting capacity, absorb high workforce plan variability, decrease talent acquisition costs, and maintain a measurable candidate pipeline. Resulted in a 55% cost reduction and model is currently being implemented across the USA for all high-volume branch positions.

Workforce Solutions-Alamo -- Led a team of Board members in redesigning the executive performance management process and implementing 360˚ review. Resulted in higher engagement of Board members, local government partners, and the chief executive of the organization.

Wyndham Destinations -- Decreased overall employee vacancy rate to <2% and delivered 100% seasonal staff by implementing a structured resort-level national workforce planning strategy.

WaMu -- Over 60% of direct reports were consistently rated “exceeds expectations” or above (average was 35%). Over 25% of direct reports were internally promoted each year.

Rackspace -- Launched a multi-phased, global employment branding strategy including the rebuilding of the corporate career website (www.rackertalent.com), a web 2.0/social media recruiting strategy, and enhancing the candidate experience.

WaMu -- Successfully led the recruitment and full staffing of WaMu’s San Antonio Regional Operations Center, from zero to 2,300+ employees in 3 years. 719 of these positions were full geographic migrations of specific functional departments. 100% of those hires were delivered ahead of schedule and significantly under budget.

A native of Upper Michigan, Paul received his B.S. degree in Biology from the University of Michigan. He is a 2007 San Antonio North Chamber of Commerce Leadership Lab alumnus, a 2010 member of the San Antonio North Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and a former member of the Workforce Solutions-Alamo Board of Directors.
